Our terms and conditions clearly show the requirements for aspects required for course completion, and we send important information on your booking confirmation email at least twice during this process. BLQ are governed by Maritime Safety Queensland, and the legislation within the BoatSafe Course. All variations and actions thereof , as listed here, must be completed and booked within 2 months of date of agreed change or variations. In the event No contact is received in writing from a participant on any variation or change – the booking and transaction will be deemed as non refundable and void.
CHANGE PRACTICAL DAY DATE – OUTSIDE 72 Hours’ Notice
FREE for one movement. $200 per agreed change thereafter.
CHANGE PRACTICAL DAY DATE – WITHIN 72 Hours’ Notice
Fee per course RMDL or PWCL $150 /course. Combo RMDL and PWCL $200/combo
NO SHOW at a Practical Day Without Prior Arrangement
Default payment in full – 10% discount offered on a NEW course booking.
INCOMPLETE ONLINE THEORY COURSE – RMDL or PWCL (by 6am on day of Practical)
Unable to progress to CAT (Common Assessment Test), or practical on water aspects for that COURSE.
FREE to attend a CAT session at VMR on any day pre-arranged with BLQ. Once successfully completed then on another day, with an available place, you can be re-booked at $200 per person Combo RMDL and PWCL, or $150 for a single course RMDL or PWCL.
NON-SATISFACTORY RESULT (CAT) Common Assessment Test. (Two attempts included)
FREE to re-book another CAT on another day we operate. within 7 days. On satisfactory completion, a Practical day re booked FREE. Third or more attempts can have practical re-booked at a cost of $200 per person Combo RMDL and PWCL, or $150 for a single course RMDL or PWCL.
NON-SATISFACTORY RESULT ON PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT TASKS REQUIRED-RMDL or PWCL
FREE to attend a new date practical session for second attempt. Thereafter, $200 per additional Practical session. The trainer will advise how much extra practice may be required to avoid a second unsuccessful session.
Where a candidate wishes to Cancel a course. Cooling Off Period 48 Hours
Where a candidate wishes to cancel a course (Not Commenced) within 2 days (48 hrs Cooling Off Period) and not within 72 hours of the practical day booked, the fees will be refunded in full. The following ADMIN fees will be deducted from the refund for cancellations outside of 2 day cooling off period. $50 Total – Represents Online Theory PTY Co & PayPal/Stripe/Bank Admin and BLQ Admin Fee PP.
Circumstances of serious illness or personal hardship within 72 hours notice.
A candidate who withdraws either before or during a course for reasons of serious illness or personal hardship will have the option to transfer the fees to a future available course within 60 days. In the case of illness, a medical certificate will be required within 48 hours of the cancelled practical date. All changes will incur a $50 ADMIN fee for changes. No recognition will be given for any training items already completed. To obtain a move under serious illness, online theory completion certificate must be received along with doctors certificate, on or before practical date, or if agreed within 3 days after practical date.
